Well, but if some mechanism has to be invented to get the password from the 
slave then the current way is still much easier.

I agree of couse, that a password dialog from kdelibs could be used instead a 
own one. I currently can't see a reason in the API documentation, why it 
should not be possible to use KIO::PasswordDialog in an application.
