Could you please be more specific. How do you delete a message. Do you 
press 'd'? Or do you click on the toolbar icon? Or do you use the entry 
in the right mouse button menu?
Does KMail crash? If so, could you please provide us with a backtrace.
Or does it simply quit? If KMail simply quits you have maybe a strange 
keybinding.
