Hi!

What about putting the precommand feature into kio_pop3/_smtp/_imap? The 
special command has been added to the kio protocol exactly for purposes like 
this. This way you don't have the problem of blocking everything, because the 
only process that is blocked is the slave. And for the slave you actually do 
this precommand, so it's in some way the logical place to do it. 

What do you think?
