Alex, instead of complaining about problems which are reported by very,=20 very few peoples and which are not only KMail's problem, it would be bett= er=20 to do something more contructive. Currently a lot of people send the 100th copy of an existing wishlist ite= m=20 or bug report and cry loud for their missing "killer feature", but they=20 forget that somebody has to do the coding as well as the bug list=20 maintenance. I think, the resources of all KMail developers are limited, but they use=20 the time very well. KMail got a lot of new features, sometimes I even=20 wonder if the speed isn't to high. IMO it's hard to keep track with the=20 improvements if someone is not reading the mailing list or if he is not directly involved in the development. > > When I look at kmail, I see a program that's constantly reinventing t= he > > wheel. It sounds like the wish for a rewrite from scratch as proposed in this li= st=20 some time ago. I think, it's not realistic to come up with this. I cannot= =20 imagine who would do the real work. Some good ideas do not make a good=20 program, you have to spend dozen hours of coding. Who will do this? The=20 current developers already have more than enough work without that. And if somebody is thinking, it's time to start with a really new MUA, th= en=20 they might start and let their program compete with KMail. And finally there is still another option, if someone doesn't like KMail,= =20 then he might use one of the many other MUAs out there.
