Subject: imap support fails on exchange server
From: molkentin@kde.org

Package:           kmail
Version:           KDE 2.1.9 >= 20010223
Severity:          normal
Installed from:    compiled sources
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.2 19991024 (release)
OS:                Linux 2.4.0-test12 i686
OS/Compiler notes:

Moin!

Microsoft Exchange Server have an IMAP server that provides the INBOX and the Public \
Directory via IMAP. However, a login via "domain\username" fails, while it works with \
Mozilla / Netscape (although it took them quite a while to get that running). I guess \
the exchange server has problems with the enconding of "\", but maybe the problem is \
even deeper. I will sniff a protocol session and provide futher infotmation if no fix \
comes up earlier.

Bye
