In KWrite it's very easy to decide which icon should be used (because the file either needs to be saved or not). When do you want to have the "new mail icon" in KMail? I suppose the icon should change to the "new mail icon" if new mail was downloaded automatically. I think this could be implemented easily. But when should the "new mail icon" disappear again?
