Most likely ledfixed is your only koi8-r capable font. No bug though.
Install a better font, or check "use unicode font for messages" if you ha=
ve a=20
unicode font or select iso8859-1 in the Set Encoding submenu of the messa=
ge=20
menu, if you are not interested in anything besides latin-1.
