I doesn't use a random position, but the position, where the mouse pointer is 
when pasting with the middle mouse button. That is intended and not a but and 
the same behavior, as in nearly all other X11/QT/KDE applications (maybe 
besides Konsole).

I can't reproduce that. At least not with the CVS version.
