Package: kmail
Version: 1.1.99 (KDE 2.1 Beta 2)
Severity: wishlist
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.2 20000220 (Debian GNU/Linux)
OS: Linux 2.2.17 i686 (compiled sources)

Many Internet/Mail - Server (such as the european GMX) only accept SMTP, when you
log in, say, 10 Minutes before, with the same IP-Adress and POP-Protokoll (I do not
want to start a diskussion, that this is a stupid way of security-check).

So many clients already have implemented a check "Pop before SMTP" to make a small
pop-connection to an spezific account before trying to send any message. When does
kmail? ;-)

btw: a workaround is to setup an localhost smtp-relay-server with an script doing the
pop-things and point kmail to localhost... but better is better...
