I had two different experiences:

At first KMail received a mail without the attached image and deleted it.
But yesterday it said that it was about to receive six mails. After two of
them there was a problem and when I tried to get the other four none of them
existed anymore on the server.

But you say that there was another GMX-user with the same problem so probably
I can solve the problem by changing the account and make use of the
forwarding option in GMX?

Thanks a lot for your support - I'm new to Linux, but the system really is
great and this answer probably already helps me out of my first problem... =)
