At least I several times tested how interrupting mail retrieving with the
cancel button works and never revieved a partially downloaded message. It
always worked correctely. However my mails usually don't exceed 5KB per mail.
Maybe that is the reason, why that didn't happen to me.

Ok, I just sent myself a 700 KB message. After downloading 300 KB I
interrupted the connection. I didn't get the mail, not even a part of the
mail and on the next attempt KMail downloaded it again.
It tried the same with killing the slave after 300 KB. Exactely the same
correct behaviour.

Then I tried both things again with your patch applied and there was no
difference.
Also with several message on the server I could see no difference.

From the point of view of the code your patch looks correct, but it could
also be, that is has no effect at all.

Michael Häckel
