And what do you expect us now doing with this information, since it works for 
nearly everyone else?
Could it be, that simply the server does not respond?
I guess, you have a progress indicator and a cancel button in the status bar.
Does mail retrieving work with a different mail client and the same account?
Does it work with KMail and a different POP3 account?
