I can't believe, that there were KMail processes running. May be ONE process 
was running, but not several.

Are you sure, that also the person in to To: field recieved the mail that 
often or only you?

This looks like you have created somehow a mailloop with fetchmail.

Did that happen only once or does it happen always, you send a mail with 
KMail that you Cc: to yourself?
