Try the following to reproduce the bug:
1.) Create a new folder (don't change the mailing list options)
2.) Change the mailing list options of this folder
3.) Observe that the changes are not remembered

Possible reason:
If you create a new folder, the folder specific options are not saved in kmailrc until you quit kmail.

If you restart kmail, changes in the mailing list options are accepted without problem.
