Subject: Bug#14335: kmail forward inlined graphic
From: rsk () u ! arizona ! edu
Date: 2000-11-01 15:47:17
[Download RAW message or body]
Package: kmail
Version: KDE 2.0 Final
Severity: normal
Installed from: RedHat RPMs
I recieved a inlined graphic in a an email from someone, I then forwarded this email \
with default encoding to 5 friends. 2 of whom replied to me saying that the picture \
was nothing but garbled code. They all use MS Outlook and MS Outlook Express which I \
found odd. Since I assume MS utilizes the same engine for their email rendering.
When I got a reply to the email from the garbled friends, it was infact all garbled, \
much like a news ground posting looks when you have "rendering graphics inline" \
turned off.
This might be a client side bug for them, but just wanted to let you know incase \
KMail was doing something funny to the emails.
