Are you sure, that you don't have the option to exclude the account from =
mail=20
checking checked?
Do you mean _from_ your local mailbox? What happens, if you only check th=
e=20
mails from the server from the File menu?

If you compiled from sources, then you probably get output if you run KMa=
il=20
from a shell. Then you should be able to see, what KMail talks with the=20
server. Can you send me that please. You can for example run "kmail >=20
logfile".
