Please specify what you mean with "automatically" :-)
If you mean the smart detection of email addresses within the email text:
there is no reliable way, AFAIK, to find out what belongs to the email
address (e.g. Names) and what is text. Besides the word that contains
the '@', as it is now.
If you do RMB-add_to_addressbook on a header field, for example, the full
name is added to the field, e.g. "Stefan Taferner <taferner@kde.org>".
