Good News: This bug has top priority. People are working hard to get if fixed.

Bad News: You will have to upgrade to KMail 1.2 and KDE2.

Good News: They should be out within a month.

Good News: Heaps of other things are fixed in KMail 1.2 and there are loads 
of new features.
