Hi.
it seems that  mailto:fred@somwhere.someplace
is acceptable usage.   Kmail does not recognise this.

If I edit my inbox to change all instances of mailto:
to mailto://  then Kmail DOES recognise that.

Koqueror similarly fails to recognise mailto: - so
maybe the actual problem is in a library ?
