Johan,

I'll add it to the TODO list. Although it's not that easy to keep track
of the messages, as the message Id's are subject to change. 
Of course, it would be interested to have a checksum like ID
for each message in combination with the message's receipt date
or something. That way it could be possible.

Maybe an interesting feature for the kmail API?

kmailID mergeMessage(const char *folder, FILE *message)??
kmailID getId(const char*message)
bool existKmailID(const char *folder,kmailID)
bool addMessage(const char *folder,FILE *message)?

kmail handles the mbox format a littlebit different from 
UNIX mail. This means, that the format I generate will
make UNIX mail see all senders as ahriman@material.world ;-).
