-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----

I run kmail, and I select a message in my inbox which happens to
be PGP encrypted. kmail freezes, not updating the display.
ps shows that a "pgpv -f +batchmode=1" is running.
I wait a while and nothing happens. When I kill -9 the
pgpv process, kmail returns to normal, displaying the message
still encrypted. If I try a similar scenario but leave
pgpv not executable, no freeze happens of course.

The PGP 5.5 I have has a number of misfeatures, including
trying to read from the tty instead of stdin, etc.

I am running Debian 2.1 (slink) with linux i386 kernel 2.0.38,
/lib/libc.so.6 -> libc-2.0.7.so , commercial PGP v5.5,
and debian package kdenetwork_1.1.2-19990911.
