Yes. your backtrace was very informative. It seems that at least one of your 
index files is out of date, KMail is attempting to recreate this index file 
which requires parsing all mails in the folder file associated with it, 
mimelib which does the parsing seems to be dying on some message.

Can you do a search to determine which folder is the culprit? Create a new 
~/Mail directory and gradually move all you old mail folders (eg inbox, 
outbox, sent-mail ....) into your new ~/Mail directory, repeatedly restarting 
KMail until you find the folder that is crashing it.

Please do this I would love to track down the folder and message that is 
causing the problem.
