Hi!
who to reproduce:
settings 
- empty trash on exit
- compact all folders on exit
actions
- delete unread message - trash shows correct number of unread messages
quit kmail
start kmail
- trash shows the former number of unread messages, but the folder is empty
- clicking the empty  folder does not change the number
- delete another message
- click trash - unread messages disapear.
