It should stay on the server, but all mailers except pine itself that I know
download it. I don't know why pine can't store it's information somewhere
else. On one mail server I use I managed to configure pine that it does not
store there mails but I don't know any longer how that worked.

When I delete it from the server then the rest of the folder on the server
wents away also, but luckily it is usually downloaded as last message.

It dows flicker and needs massive CPU power. It also does print the following
continuously to the console:

khtml (css): found body element
khtml: INIT HTML Codec name= ISO 8859-1
khtml (memory): KHTMLPart::clear()
khtml (memory): KHTMLPart::clear(): dereferencing the document
khtml (memory): HTMLDocumentImpl::detach()
khtml (memory): renderRoot desctructor called
khtml: INIT HTML Codec name= ISO 8859-1
khtml (render): RenderRoot(RenderObject)::setContainingBlock()
containingBlock == 0, setting to this

I now found a different mail with the same problem. It is a welcome new user
mail I imported from Eudora. It is possible that that problem is because
these mails don't have a message id?
I attached a mailbox file with both mails in it.

Greetings,

This text is part of the internal format of your mail folder, and is not
a real message. It is created automatically by the mail system software.
If deleted, important folder data will be lost, and it will be re-created
with the data reset to initial values.
