  Ahh I saw that you said "not download" I assumed you were using POP3.  
You're right, local should not remove it.  However that's really a UW
specific issue I think (someone correct me if I'm wrong).  We could preserve
it but it may contain information that we dont' know how to update after we
modify the mailbox.  Any comments?
