kmail 1.8.2 (suse 10.0, kde 3.4.2 lev b) still closes the compose window when I \
select "save in drafts folder" or use a keyboard shortcut to do it.

I find this annoying, saving should be a different action from closing. 

I don't see a good reason why there is no obvious way to save without being forced to \
close and reopen. 

Periodic saves are NOT a good reason for this misfeature, periodic saves are for when \
the user FORGETS to save. _______________________________________________
