From kmail-devel Tue Mar 06 16:11:12 2007 From: F Reifenstahl Date: Tue, 06 Mar 2007 16:11:12 +0000 To: kmail-devel Subject: [Bug 41514] KMail freezes the UI when checking for new mail Message-Id: <20070306161112.29435.qmail () ktown ! kde ! org> X-MARC-Message: https://marc.info/?l=kmail-devel&m=117321430101203 ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=41514 ------- Additional Comments From f.reifenstahl laborseelig de 2007-03-06 17:11 ------- Today is the day... I'm leaving :`( kmail being asleep for five days (me myself I had been sick during that time), I started it this morning to get all what has been waiting for me, and kmail chomps... and chomps... and chomps... something, I had to bear several times during the last years. People called me asking why I didn't call them, they had requested in their emails...*chomp* ... I couldn't read or write any email. Well, I killed that process and began to migrate, and now I'm a Thunderbird user. I don't write that with any malicious glee, after working with kmail for I-don't-know-how-much-years it's a lttle bit sad to be forced to resign. But I can't take responsibility for using a tool at business that balks my work in a way kmail does. kmail is an excellent tool with many UI features I'm already missing by now. And I know, it's OpenSource, so nobody is entitled to arrogate for this or that. But to catch especially the fancy of those who coordinate developing of KDE apps, I have a hunch that developing of such important tools should be more oriented to business workflow. So, no offence, I'm sure kmail will get rid of that problem, anytime. Maybe I'll switch back... Have a good time, regards _______________________________________________ KMail developers mailing list KMail-devel@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kmail-devel
