I have rebuilt kdepim with --enable-debug=full and I have been trying to reproduce \
the problem since. The version hasn't changed, just rebuilt with debug.

What I am now noticing is that IMAP actions in general are *extremely* slow, \
particularly when kmail is trying to do more than one thing at once, e.g. sending an \
email and opening a folder, or opening a folder and trying to display the first \
message in that folder, or changing folders during a mail check. Frequently now I am \
having to abort the action and restart it. I haven't seen any crashes though so I'm \
wondering if there is a race condition or something :( \
