I agree with both sides of the argument. What users are asking for is
security, but gpg delivers trust. Perhaps gpg is not the right tool for
the job.

Secure delivery is the issue, not trust, nor the gpg.

I put it this way:

Kmail should allow secure delivery (encryption) to any recipient.

How the developers provide it, if at all, is entirely up to them;)
