Summary: kmail system tray error, unread mails marked as read.
Product: kmail
Version: 1.9.5
Platform: unspecified
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: kmail-devel kde org
ReportedBy: richard zinkweb co uk
Version: 1.9.5 (using KDE 3.5.5, Kubuntu (edgy) 4:3.5.5-0ubuntu3)
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.17-10-386
New emails come into my inbox. When I have finished with them they are moved to a \
separate folder. This means that my inbox is often empty. I have setup the system \
tray to always display, and as new email comes in it should display the number of \
unread emails.
However, if the inbox is empty, and the message list is currently set to display the \
inbox, when an email comes in it is automatically selected and appears in the preview \
pane. It is then marked as read. The system tray shows no new mail.
I suggest emails are not marked as "read" when in the preview pane until the kmail \
window is the active window.
For info I'm using POP only at the moment.
