------- Additional Comments From mail markwege de 2006-09-28 00:20 -------
Hi Tom, nothing happend. But something else. I think I know how at least part of the \
mail los happens. I am using filters. Kmail fetches mail from INBOX, moves a mail to \
a folder. The problem could be that I have really a lot of folders with a lot of \
mails so it takes a long time for kmail to finish a mail check. I do not know in what \
way kmail notifies a server that it has moved a mail into another folder, but I think \
could have something todo with a kind of wrong timing of that. Now with the patch and \
kmail asking "mail has been deleted on the server, do you want to delete it locally" \
means that at this point where Kmail wants to syncronize the move has not happened on \
the server yet. So has to be something with bad timing, something like, I have to \
shut down my computer because I have to leave or I loose internet connection so that \
synchronising is not finished. I guess that kmail still has a mechanisms to prevent \
this, but may it does not work allways. for example with large mailboxes with a lot \
of folders. _______________________________________________
