I got a remote IMAP server which stopped to work with recent KMail (other MUA works \
fine - no prefs changes in any of these). The issue however is that KMail now tries \
to connect there on startunp as configured, but due to the problems it popups "The \
authentication method LOGIN is not supported by the server." requester followed by \
the "Authorisation dialog". Feeding it with valid login/pass pair is pointless and \
due to issue with auth method does not work. So you hit the "Cancel". Then "The \
authentication method LOGIN is not supported by the server." popups again followed by \
the "Authorisation dialog". And so on, so on, unless you kill KMail \
