The KDE4 transition is also hurting.  We've practically been turning down
help because kdepim3 is feature-frozen, and kdepim4 is nowhere near ready
for hacking on unless you have lots of patience and experience. 

My hope is that the shiny, new kdelibs4 and somewhat operational kdepim4 will
be too tempting for the average pimster to stay away from.  The lure of the new
code will open up the feature floodgates and svn commits will burn up svn.kde.org.
