Hm, I better give a sign of life. ;-)

Well, I'm pretty busy ATM so I can't afford doing some work for KMail. I've 
promised to code something for the Akonadi backend until end of March which 
is still in my pipe. But I don't believe I can do something more than that.

Besides, I'm quite unsatisfied with what I could do for KMail. There are so 
many reports, one might think KMail is the worst application on earth. 
Well, most of them are duplicates and the reporters just don't get it (or 
more positive: don't know about the duplications). So I often feel tempted 
to do some work on the 3.5 branch. OTOH if I put the resources there, 
nothing is done for KDE 4.
Anyway, I can't do much ATM, so the problem is a theoretical one for me 
right now.
