Summary: Inbox emails occasionally duplicate when communicationg
with Imap protocol on Exchange server.
           Product: kmail
           Version: 1.9.1
          Platform: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kmail-devel kde org
ReportedBy: yuval alum cs huji ac il

Version: 1.9.1 (using KDE 3.5.1-2.3.fc4.kde, Fedora Core release 4 \
                (Stentz))
Compiler: Target: i386-redhat-linux
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.15-1.1830_FC4smp

I use KMail to contact our company's Exchange (2003?) server to read mail. To that \
end, I asked the sysadmin to open the IMAP protocol.

First, communication is VERY slow, but this has been already discussed before.

Second, when KMail check for new messages, either automatically or manually, the \
latest message may duplicate.

I found that if the latest message is "unread" then it is surely duplicated.

As a consequence, leaving KMail with automatic mail checking over night, ends up with \
handred of replicas of the same messages in the morning!

I also suspect that messages with attachments may duplicate even if they are read. \
But I could not find concistancy here. \
