Hello,

I filter my mail through bogofilter and during bogofiltering incoming mail KMail's \
GUI is not very responsive. It often stops window refresh for several seconds on my \
IBM ThinkPad T23 Pentium 3 with 1.13 GHz. I know bogofilter with a 40MB+ words \
database is expensive, but the GUI shouldn't lock up, especially while I am trying to \
type in a new mail. bogofilter should be called in the background.

As there is a second problem reported in this bug report which goes about sorting \
maybe it would be a good idea to make two bug reports out of this one?

It will be some time till KDE4 and I really would like to see asynchronous filtering \
for some KDE 3.5.x release - as many other users I guess. I am willing to spend time \
into testing non-blocking filtering for POP, IMAP and local mail (see comment #79). \
Where to start? I guess I would need to compile my own KMail with some patch?
