As further info, KMail adds Thread-Topic and Thread-Index fields to email message \
files but doesn't remove them when threading is turned off. As much as I dislike \
suggesting changes instead of actually doing them (C++ isn't a field of expertise at \
current), a separate threads/ folder could be the simplest fix. Then this folder \
could be deleted/ignored when threading is disabled. \
