Sorry, but I must protest, this bug should be reopened.

I use both styles of writing emails, either putting my reply in between the quoted \
text or putting it above. Yes, in the former case a signature at the end makes sense, \
but I've actually had people complain that they hate it if I answer their email in \
that way. So I often find myself, as many others commented, manually cutting and \
pasting the signature to get it above the quoted text.

I don't think it's good design if Kmail imposes a style on the user. Rather the user \
should be able to choose, like in Thunderbird. Please reconsider \
