While investigating a way to replicate the bug (it happened to me a lot but I only decided to submit the bug today) I stumbled on something which is a bug but I don't know if it can be considered directly related to this bug report. What happened was that I had two emails in my inbox. Only one was unread. I selected the unread one and switched the message filter list to "unread". Then, I deleted the unread mail. What happened was that although no message was listed in the message list (due to the filter), kmail automatically opened the unread message. About the "folder switching", the filter is indeed switched back to "any status". Unfortunately, when I select the previous folder, the filter doesn't switch back to the selected filter. Apparently that means that the filter always defaults to "any status" and doesn't pay attention to the user's choices. IMHO kmail would improve a lot if the filter state which the user selected was always preserved. _______________________________________________ KMail developers mailing list KMail-devel@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kmail-devel
