When I select a message requiring a MDN while a dIMAP sync is active, KMail hangs \
after the MDN confirmation message box has popped up. (MDN mode set to Ask ...)

To me that happened quite often. My sync process takes about 30 sec and I usually \
start reading new messages as soon as I spot a new one in a folder. Switching into \
that folder and selecting that message gives a nice surprise when a MDN is requested. \
I worked around that problem by switching MDNs off, but not everybody will have that \
