Similar problem, Version 1.8.1: "auto sign mails" is my default setting. However, my \
default identity is not assigned to gpg keys, so signing is turned off when composing \
a new mail. When changing to an identity with keys, it would be great if signing is \
on (=my default) automatically.

Additionally, if I turn on signing for the current identity having gpg keys, \
switching to an identity without keys and back to the first identity, signing remains \
turned off.

I suggest that the signing option is handled seperatly for every identity in the \
compose window. _______________________________________________
