after reading my reply I want to apologise if it was a bit abrupt, it was not my intention at all.

Also you can view the current transport in the composer by choosing view -> transport in the composer, that allows you to easily see the current transport at compose time.

ANd as I said before, the rest of your wishes will apear in the next version of KMail
