The same problem was reported by another FC3 user
(http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=102267). Recompiling the kdepim
RPM from the source RPM fixed the problem for him. So obviously the
kdepim RPM provided by the Fedora team wasn't compiled correctly.
