Summary: not all inline images are displayed
           Product: kmail
           Version: 1.7.1
          Platform: SuSE RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kmail-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: edwin orangeport net

Version: 1.7.1 (using KDE KDE 3.3.0)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

In some messages, both HTML as plain text, the images are not displayed, \
even if I select View->Attachments->Inline. The images are just iconized. \
The images are obviously not correctly recognized, because in the \
description window, the type is "Unspecified binary data".

I looked in the source of the failing messages, and found that the image is \
determined to be "application/octet-stream", instead of "image/jpeg", \
although all messages can be opened with any image viewer:

Content-Type: application/octet-stream; name="card7.jpg"
Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64
Content-ID: <IMGECARDARTIS>
Content-Disposition: inline; filename="card7.jpg"

In all messages, the jpg-source starts with "/9j/":

/9j/4AAQSkZJRgABAgAAZABkAAD/7AARRHVja3kAAQAEAAAAPAAA/+4ADkFkb2JlAGTAAAAAAf/b

I found a few similar bugs, like 6710, but they don't describe this \
behaviour. If you need more headers, let me know. \
