Version:           1.7.1 (using KDE 3.2.3, Mandrake Linux Cooker i586 - Cooker)

KMail icon is running in the tray.  Kontact would not open but gave an error message \
that indicated a previous instance was running, which was not the situation.  This is \
a frequent occurrence.
