Summary: encrypted messages generated by kmail 1.7 not decrypted
by kmail 1.6
Product: kmail
Version: 1.6.2
Platform: unspecified
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: kmail-devel kde org
ReportedBy: gweber codigolivre org br
Version: 1.6.2 (using KDE 3.2.1, SuSE)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.3 (SuSE Linux)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.4-52-default
It seems that encrypted (openPGP) messages generated by kmail 1.7.1 cannot \
be properly decrypted by kmail 1.6.2
The error message is:
Encrypted message (decryption not possible)
Reason: No appropriate crypto plug-in was found.
Could this be caused by this?
Content-Type: application/pgp-encrypted
Content-Disposition: attachment
The system which on which the message was generated: SuSE 9.2, kmail 1.7.1
The system which tried to read the message: SuSE 9.1, kmail 1.6.2
I'm not sure if this is truly a bug or if there should be some setting in \
kmail 1.7 that would allow encrypted messages to be sent in a way that they \
could be read by kmail 1.6. _______________________________________________
