I use disconnected imap for my mail, after losing and restoring a network \
connections, I can no longer check mail.  I can still send, but when I click check \
mail, either globally or for each account, nothing happens.  Only a `killall kmail` \
solves the problem.  It happens on my computer, and my friends (also KDE 3.3, gentoo, \
Kmail 1.7, etc). _______________________________________________
