Summary: Don't fecth messages form IMAP folders everytime
           Product: kmail
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Gentoo Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kmail-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: m4ktub hotmail com

Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.2)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

This is somehow related to http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=66175 but I'll try to \
be more contructive.

When I access and IMAP account kmail fecthes the selected message for display. The \
problem is that it is done everytime. I select some local folder and then the IMAP \
folder again and it fetches the message again.

It seams that only headers are cached but it would be nice if the whole messages were \
cached. The behaviour I expect is something like: 1. Select a new IMAP folder
2. Kmail fetches all headers, automaticaly selects the first and fetches is to \
display. 3. A select other folder or even close Kmail
4. Later when I select the same IMAP folder the message is imediatly shown (assuming \
it does not jump to some unread message) and no fecthing is done. 5. I select a new \
message from that folder and kmail fecthes the new message. 6. And so on...

It would be nice to have some sort of feedback near the message subject to show if \
the message is cached or not. (like encrypted and signed messages have) \
