Summary: kanji substitution appears black
Product: kmail
Version: 1.6.2
Platform: unspecified
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: composer
AssignedTo: kmail-devel kde org
ReportedBy: eike alpha-microelectronics de
Version: 1.6.2 (using KDE 3.2.3, (testing/unstable))
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.3 (Debian 20040422)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.4
I use kinput2 to enter Japanese in Kmail (the locales are UTF8 and everything works \
nicely). There's just one annoyance with Kmail:
When entering canna and converting them to Kanji (that is pressing space to start \
conversion) the text substitution appears black. Pressing space one more to bring up \
the chooser window is a way to work around this problem but it makes typing slower. \
Once one finishes the conversion (pressing Return) the Kanji appears the way it's \
supposed to however. The problem exists only with the message text input area not \
with the other input fields (such as address and title). Thus I think it must have \
something to to with kinput2 and Kmail not agreeing about the coloured appearance of \
the input text.
Thanks for your great work and your consideration,
eike
