Summary: kmail crashes trying to write a new e-mail or to receive
                    an e-mmail from the server
           Product: kmail
           Version: 1.5.3
          Platform: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: crash
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kmail-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: gianber tele2 it

Version:           1.5.3 (using KDE 3.2 BRANCH >= 20040204, Mandrake Linux Cooker \
                i586 - Cooker)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.2 (Mandrake Linux 10.0 3.3.2-6mdk)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.3-7mdk

I made an upgrade from Mandrake 9.2 to Mandrake 10.0, using a set of CD included in a \
Linux magazine.(official download edition). The system now runs well, but K-mail \
crashes everytime that I try to write an e-mail or when the program is receiving mail \
from the pop mail server: the K-mail window is closed without error messages. It is \
hard to understand what happens because theprogram does not give any kind of \
information: no error massage, no warnings: the program window suddenly desappear. If \
I restart the program and try again to receive the mail from the server, after some \
attempts K-mail can download the e-mail, but if I try to open a message then the \
program crashes again. This is the first time that I have problems using Kmail: from \
Mandrake 9.0 to 9.2 I never had this problem. I'm sorry for my English: I hope the \
reader can understad what I mean. Thank You
Giancarlo
